Along with the vBExperience addon, there are now some automatic awards given, which can be seen at the user avatar in post, or in a userprofile, if they have an award.

Right now there are 2 automatic awards given, 1 for top poster and another for most active person. Most activity is based on many things, such as posts, threads, attachments, friends, referrals and some other things, that all give some points to the calculation.
