When introducing yourself to others, you should think of saying something that actually tells something about yourself, so all people will get an understanding about who you are.

It's possible that a friend introduced you to this site, but you should write in a way so even people that didn't know you before you came on this site, understands it.

An example is the online community ArgonathRPG, some of us know each other from that community, but we should still try to introduce ourselves to people that do not know us from there.
