Default 3d looking border - Adobe Photoshop

ok folks today ill show u my way of making a 3d-like border for ur sigs
end result will be something like this:


tools u will need: paintbucket ,black and white color

note: dont deselect till done!
ok get ur sig, add new layer, now go to Select>Select all (or press ctrl+a), go to Select>Border>Modify Border and type 2 px
now get paintbucket with black color and click in middle of ur sig
result:

now again go to Select>Border>Modify Border but this time type 4 px
get white color and using paint bucket click once in middle of sig
result:
now once more: Select>Border>Modify Border but this time type 8px
get black and click in middle of sig once again

now is safe to Select>Deselect or just ctrl+D
voila! ur border is done!

yep by just ecko a cs 1.6 sig, weird enough these all are smudge sigs... no color on either of them only silver surfer has a color balance(colorise) rest are just smudged...

smudge is a toold can be found above the sponge tool en blur mode and stuff just right click the images

shows nuthing for me
